Agree the preparation as well as the finish
The condition of the existing surface affects the work required. We assess the areas to be painted and discuss protection, preparation and repairs before setting out the agreed scope.
Protect and prepare
Plan protection for nearby surfaces, furniture and access routes, with filling, sanding and priming where included in the quote.
Coordinate the painting
Agree the order of work, access and finishes. If an unexpected issue affects the scope, discuss it before proceeding.
Review the completed areas
Check the agreed work at handover and discuss any remaining items.

Choosing and arranging your painting service
Which painting service should I choose?
Choose Interior for rooms and internal surfaces, or Exterior for outside surfaces. House painting is the best starting point when you are planning a larger repaint of a house, inside, outside or both. Our residential painting page explains arrangements for houses, apartments and townhouses.
Can I include interior and exterior painting in one quote?
Yes. Tell us which internal and external areas you want painted. We can assess them together and set out the preparation, access and sequence for each part of the work. Roofs, decks and cabinetry are not automatically included; mention them if they need attention.
Can you paint an apartment or a home that is occupied?
We can discuss painting around an occupied property. Tell us about rooms you need to use, furniture, pets and any building management requirements. Access, ventilation and drying time affect whether staged work is practical.
What should I send to request a quote?
Start with your suburb, property type, the areas to be painted and your preferred timing. Mention damaged or peeling surfaces, difficult access and any work by other trades. We can then discuss the next step and whether an onsite inspection is needed.
Do I need to attach photos?
No. A photo is optional and can help show the current condition. The form accepts one attachment up to 6 MB. If you have more photos or a video, mention this in your message so we can agree how to receive them. Photos do not always show everything needed for a final quote.
Do you work in my area, and when can the work start?
We are based in Sylvania and service Sydney, including the North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, Sutherland Shire, Inner West and St George. Send your suburb and preferred dates. We will discuss availability and the likely sequence after reviewing the scope.
