Interior rooms, front and rear facades, garage surfaces and detailed metalwork formed our painting scope during the renovation of this modern Paddington home. The photographs show the preparation and finished work, inside and around the pool-side exterior.
Painting during a modern home renovation
Our work formed the painting part of a wider renovation. It covered interior walls and timber details, front and rear facade painting, garage walls and ceiling, and metalwork inside and outside the home.
The living-room photograph records the condition before painting, with plasterboard joints and ceiling patches still visible. At the front of the house, scaffolding provided access for the facade work.
Pool-side metalwork and spray application
The new pool-side metalwork was galvanised, so it received a primer suited to that substrate as part of the Resene two-pack coating system used for this work. Masking protected adjacent surfaces before spray application.
We used compressed-air spray equipment to produce an even finish on the new balustrade elements. The close-up photograph shows the coating being applied to the vertical bars, while the wider project view shows the dark metalwork alongside the finished rear elevation.
Interior details, skylights and completed facades
Resene coatings were used on the interior walls and timber details. Access to the timber elements around the skylights was restricted; we addressed this with spray application after masking the glass.
Dark metal balustrades were also finished around the internal staircase. Together with the repainted interior and exterior surfaces, these details give the home a consistent visual finish. The photographs show the completed front facade, internal stair metalwork and living area.
